Special Award Winners from Post-Season Banquet

The Post-Season Awards Banquet for Falcon Football was held on Thursday night November 10th in the West High Cafe. Players, Coaches and their families enjoyed dinner and conversation prior to the program's beginning. Once the program started a variety of players received special recognition from the Falcon Football Program.

The Most Improved Player award is new this season. It is and will be given to the player who demonstrates the greatest improvement over his career. Alex Scott is to be congratulated for his efforts and for receiving this year's award.

The Brad Peck Award is given to the Falcon Football player who also participates in Band and exemplifies the "Spirit of Brad Peck". A young man who loved life and lived it with great enthusiasm and great character. Congratulations to this year's recipient - Justin Stites.

The Pat Dunn Award is presented to the player who displays great team spirit, unselfishness and leadership. Josh Wendell has played his entire varsity career in that fashion and is definitely deserving of this award.

Congratulations to Two Falcon Lifters!
Laken Fluegel and Kyle Beale reached incredible milestones April 28th. Laken entered uncharted territory by becoming the first Falcon EVER to join the 1,400 lb. club! On the same day, Kyle Beale became a member of the 1,200 lb. club. Many other athletes saw significant gains in their max lifts all because they've been putting in outstanding effort in the weight room 3 days a week. What to join them? We're there Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays beginning at 2:50!

Football Program named #1 in Sportsmanship

On Wednesday night at the MAC winter coaches meeting the Davenport West Football Program was named #1 in sportsmanship. It is a great honor and a tribute to the hard work of the players and coaches in the program. Sportsmanship is one of the pillars of this football program and there is no better evidence than this recognition.
